Hi there, nice talk!
I am not a Java developer by far, I just know the syntax and I can make a few simple things with it, but I have been following one of their podcasts for some years: The Java Posse. Incidentally, I listened to this second part of “It’s the booze talking” tonight, and right afterwards I listened to their latest “Techniques for solving tough problems” podcast, and both episodes mention the same duck/elephpant/bear/whatever technique. By the way, this Java Podcast is an example that the Java community may not be as closed as you made them sound 😉
Anyway, thanks for all the pointers, reminders and insights as always!
Best regards,
